Yona Gal

YONA GAL is an associate with Groia & Company practicing in the areas of corporate, commercial and securities litigation. Yona assists corporate and individual clients in a broad range of commercial issues including shareholder disputes, class actions, breach of contract, professional liability claims, and securities regulation. 

Prior to joining Groia & Company as an associate, Yona worked at a boutique law firm in downtown Toronto practicing commercial litigation. Yona received his J.D. and LL.M. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where he volunteered as a peer mentor and J.D. Ambassador for the law school. He was also a member of the Litigation Association and served as an Assistant Editor of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review. During law school, he worked at a commercial real estate law firm and as a research assistant for a professor of contract law.  He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019.
