Principal

KEVIN RICHARD is a principal of Groia & Company practicing securities and corporate litigation with an emphasis on representing a broad range of clients in investigations and hearings before securities regulators and other government agencies across Canada, and in joint proceedings involving Canada and the United States. Kevin has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, as well as numerous court appearances in Alberta and British Columbia on various corporate and securities matters, including shareholder disputes, oppression proceedings, dissenting shareholder proceedings, negligence claims involving investment advisors, and a major quasi-criminal proceeding in the Ontario Court of Justice.

Kevin received his B. Eng. from McGill University in 1993 and his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall in 1997. In 1997 and 1998, he taught Law and Legal English as a Foreign Expert at the Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Chongqing, P.R. China.

Kevin articled at Armstrong, Dunne and was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2000. He joined Groia & Company in 2000 and is a member of the C.B.A.O.
