MARTIN MENDELZON is an associate with Groia & Company practicing corporate, commercial, and securities litigation.
Martin’s practice includes representing a broad range of corporate and individual clients in the civil, regulatory, and class action contexts. He also regularly advises boards of directors and corporate officers on practical business strategies in order to avoid potential litigation risks. Martin strives to provide his clients with effective and efficient representation which allows them to navigate the litigation process. He has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and the Ontario Securities Commission on a diverse array of cases including shareholder disputes, contractual claims, complex commercial litigation, proxy battles, negligence claims against investment advisors, securities class actions, and securities regulation.
Prior to joining Groia & Company in 2013, Martin summered, articled, and worked as an associate at a full-service national law firm. He also summered as a research assistant to the justices at Toronto’s Superior Court of Justice in Toronto. Martin received his B.A. (Hon.) in political science from the University of Toronto and his J.D. from the University of Windsor Law School. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2012.
